Toward the end of the month, at Branch Park Pavilion, there will be an inaugural celebration for LGBTQ+ people of color and their allies.Īccording to the Colors of Pride website, roughly half of Austin’s LGBTQ+ population are people of color. Tammie Brown, who appeared in RuPaul’s Drag Race season one and All Stars, is the festival’s headliner. The event also includes standup comedy, and drag and musical performances.
Tickets are free and also registers attendees into a raffle. This is the inaugural Pride “Pfestival” for the town and will take place from 1-6 p.m.
